Regularly inspect the fork for cracks, dents or stress fractures, particularly around the head tube and dropouts, and stop riding immediately if any damage is found. Ensure the headset and axle bolts are tightened to the manufacturer's recommended torque before every ride and check periodically as they can loosen with use.
